SEBCoVE highlights the importance of vocational education and training in preparing the next generation of skilled professionals for the energy transition. This commitment aligns with SpainSkills 2026, the National Vocational Training Championships organised by Spain’s Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, with the participation of CONAIF.
Taking place from 24 to 27 February 2026 at IFEMA Madrid, the event brought together vocational education students to demonstrate their technical and practical skills across several professional fields. CONAIF supported competitions in plumbing and heating, refrigeration and air conditioning, and electrical installations, alongside a demonstration in renewable energy.
The practical challenges reflected real-world working situations, including electrical installations, building automation, air-conditioning systems and the installation and monitoring of photovoltaic systems.
These activities underline the importance of hands-on learning, technical excellence and industry collaboration in developing the skills needed for sustainable and energy-efficient buildings. They also reflect SEBCoVE’s broader mission to strengthen vocational excellence and equip learners with the competencies required for the evolving smart electricity sector.
